The work began in the early to mid-2000s, driven by frustration with what was available at the time. Reputable builders were scarce, materials were inconsistent, and quality control was often an afterthought. Building custom bowstrings became the only way to achieve the level of consistency, reliability, and repeatable performance expected from serious equipment.

In 2006, that work grew into a small operation known as Top Pin Archery, supplying custom bowstrings locally, online, and eventually to archery shops across the country. As professional focus shifted toward biology and wildlife management, wholesale production was stepped back—but the hands-on work never stopped. Strings continued to be built directly for customers, one set at a time, with full attention to detail.

By the winter of 2025/2026, it was time for a reset and a return to the original intent. Lone Pine Archery LLC was formed as a rebrand and a refinement of that early philosophy: build every set by hand, work directly with customers, and take full responsibility for the final product.

Lone Pine Archery is not focused on rapid growth or becoming a large-scale operation. It is intentionally small, independent, and personal. Every set is built individually, with the same expectations placed on equipment meant to be trusted in the field.
